Week 2 of the NFL was a week of upsets. I was upset that so many of my picks did not go well. And I was upset my Buccaneers lost to another backup quarterback on a bad team. Along with the upsets, there were a lot of underdog victories too. It was a pretty rough week for most people’s picks. Early in the NFL season, we’re still finding out who is a pretender and who it is that everyone will claim to have known to be good all along.
Seriously though, Tampa? I can’t stand the Panthers. And the Rams are starting a third stringer. Ugh.
I guess this is the part where I should be reviewing how last week’s picks went. I got 7 of 13 right. And with the turmoil in some of the games, I’m not completely dissatisfied. Definitely looking to improve in week three. Here are my winners.
- Atlanta
- San Diego
- Cincinnati
- Baltimore
- Dallas
- Green Bay
- Indianapolis
- New England
- New Orleans
- Houston
- Philadelphia
- San Francisco
- Denver
- Miami
- Pittsburgh
- Chicago
The marque matchup here is clearly the rematch of last year’s Superbowl teams. I have Denver edging Seattle out. This is a risky pick with how well Seattle plays at home. Their home field advantage is nearing something of legend with the decibal records being set at CenturyLink Field. I am going with the greatness of Peyton Manning on this pick.
Let me know in the comments what you think about the NFL season so far and which picks you disagree with.
